“For in him we live and move and have our being”
Antioch Community are a group of people who are seeking how to live life in community with
our eyes fixed on Jesus. Our desire is to deepen our spiritual life and relationship with God
through prayer, worship and mission. We are also committed to forming a personal rule of
life that can be lived out in a real and authentic way.
Life. Community. Connection.
Jesus prayed for all his disciples: “That they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”John 17:21
This oneness requires a life lived in community with God and being aware of his spiritual presence in our day-to-day life. By exploring ways of being with God for example through prayer, meditation, or even riding a bike, we can discover the joy and peace that can be found by knowing his presence.
Jesus came to show us the personality of God and when we meet with him we are introduced to our true identity and nothing can change our identity in him.
We live in an individualistic world where we are consumed with self-image, success, wealth, failures and how they are perceived by others.
We are created to live in community and Jesus can show us all a different way of life that means we have freedom to be our true selves.
Freedom from fear
Freedom from addiction
Freedom from guilt
Freedom to know God
Freedom to love
Freedom to change
Freedom in Christ
Everyone is welcome and we have members from churches all around Bristol.
We believe in unity in diversity and welcome all who wish to come and eat, share fellowship and spend time in the presence of God.
“The more genuine and deeper our community becomes the more will everything else between us recede, the more clearly and purely will Jesus Christ and his work become the one and only thing that is vital between us” Dietrich Bonhoeffer
