Little Rocks
Toddler Group
St. Paul’s Church, Southville, runs Little Rocks Toddler Group every Monday from 10-11.30am during term time.
We look forward to welcoming you to our friendly and relaxed church-run toddler group. It is a great place for parents/primary carers to meet one another and enjoy time with their babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

At Little Rocks we will...
-
Provide a safe and happy environment for children to play, learn and interact.
-
Be a welcoming place for all parents and carers to make friends and feel supported.
-
Show the love of God in our community.
-
Care for the whole child and parent/carer – physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Arrival
On arrival, you will be greeted by a member of our welcome team. If you’re new, they will ask you to fill out a registration form and to inform us of any allergies or intolerances.

There is a suggested donation of £2.00 per family. Please speak to a member of the team if costs are prohibitive.
Buggies
Please park your buggies on the left hand side of the church by the freezers.

Babies and Crawlers
We have a designated area for babies and crawlers
Tea, Coffee, and Snacks
Hot drinks and snacks are available throughout the morning. It would help our refreshments team if you could return your cups and plates before story and song time.
Nappies
Nappy changing facilities can be found in the Disabled Toilet to the left of the main door in the church.
Eyes Peeled!
Our team will always keep a watchful eye on children as they play, however children will always remain the full responsibility of their parents/carer at all times.
Tidy Up Time
Tidying their toys away is a really great thing for our children to learn, plus it really helps us too! So, if you are able, we’d love it if you could help tidy the toys away when the ‘Tidy Up Song’ comes on!
Story and Singing Time
We finish each session with a story and song time.

Join our Parent Team
We would love some parent volunteers on our team. This may mean that you help with setting out the toys, bake for snack time, facilitate craft, sweep the hall or even help lead the story and singing. Please speak to a member of the team if you are able to help in any way.
Why Little Rocks?
Rocks have many symbolic meanings in the Bible often representing God’s strength, reliability and as the foundation of faith. Psalm 18:2 says ‘The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I can take refuge, my shield.’

At St Paul’s we believe we are all made in God’s image, cut as it were from the big rock. Isaiah 51:1b says ‘Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn.’

At Little Rocks we hope that we can support parents/carers and their children to explore their place in the world, growing strong foundations on rock.

Matthew 7:25 ‘The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against the house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.’

Health & Safety

In Case of Fire
In the event of a continuous fire alarm sounding, you will be directed by volunteers to leave the building by your nearest exit with your children and assemble at the assembly point across the road.

Risk Assessment
At all times the children remain under the direct supervision of their parent/carer.
There is a copy of Little Rocks Risk Assessment available by the Welcome Area.
