St Paul’s Church
St Paul's is a lively, growing church on Coronation Road in Southville, overlooking the New Cut and historic harbourside in the heart of Bristol.
We aim to be a beacon of God’s love and a centre of worship and mission.
We believe worship is important and we try and be as creative as possible in our styles and approaches to praise and worship.
We believe God loves our community, and we do our best to share that love in all sorts of ways, from throwing great parties to telling people about the good news of Jesus.
Are you a passionate, enthusiastic youth minister with a vision to bring about real change and looking for your next challenge?
We are in the process of recruiting! Please apply by 19 Feb 2021.
As a result of the pandemic, we recognise many people are anxious about the practicalities of food, medication etc, especially if required to self-isolate or with enforced social distancing.
As a church family and community we want to demonstrate sharing, caring and support for our neighbours, so as part of the 'BS3 Community Covid-19 - Mutual Aid' response we have set up the BS3 Community Larder foodbank to provide food for local vulnerable people. We urgently need donations to offer this support.
Updated 10th November 2020
In the light of new Government restrictions we are no longer able to open for public worship. However St Pauls is open twice a week for prayer.
Open for prayer
On Sunday evenings from 7:30-8:30pm we will open to allow people to come and soak in the presence of the Holy Spirit. Worship videos will be playing and some of the ministry team will be there praying for pictures, scriptures and words of prophecy for those who have come along. Last Sunday we opened for the first time and there was a powerful and tangible sense of the presence of God.
On Tuesdays we will open from 10am - 11am for quiet personal prayer. Some quiet music will play and you will be able to light a candle should you so wish.
For both we ask that you sign yourself in on the registration table for ‘Track and Trace’ purposes or use the NHS covid check in .
We are allowed to open for personal prayer only so we ask that people don’t gather to chat in the building.
In this socially distanced time we are looking at how we can facilitate prayer ministry for those who want it. Even when lockdown ends it's tricky to pray at the front of church with 2 metres separating us!
Elizabeth and the team are offering a "Zoom Prayer ministry service.
It will be available on the third Thursday of the month from 7.00 - 9.00 pm.
Beginning on November 19th, then December 17th, January 21st, February 18th.
People wanting prayer should email this email address firstname.lastname@example.org to fix an appointment. Two members of the team will be available to pray with them.
Sunday morning services led by Nick & Lindsay and Jacqui & Rob, will once again be live streamed from their homes to the St Pauls Facebook page starting at 10:30am every Sunday.
The BS3 Community larder is continuing to run and St Paul's church is open between 9.30am and 12.30pm Monday and Thursday to receive donations for the BS3 Community Larder foodbank.
Our main service is at 10.30 every Sunday morning. Find out more about what's on offer at St Paul's.
