St Paul’s Church
St Paul's is a lively, growing church on Coronation Road in Southville, overlooking the New Cut and historic harbourside in the heart of Bristol.
We aim to be a beacon of God’s love and a centre of worship and mission.
We believe worship is important and we try and be as creative as possible in our styles and approaches to praise and worship.
We believe God loves our community, and we do our best to share that love in all sorts of ways, from throwing great parties to telling people about the good news of Jesus.
As a result of the pandemic, we recognise many people are anxious about the practicalities of food, medication etc, especially if required to self-isolate or with enforced social distancing.
As a church family and community we want to demonstrate sharing, caring and support for our neighbours, so as part of the 'BS3 Community Covid-19 - Mutual Aid' response we have set up the BS3 Community Larder foodbank to provide food for local vulnerable people. We urgently need donations to offer this support.
Updated 14 June 2020
Private prayer - Public worship is still not allowed, but from 15th June 2020 St Aldhelm's church on Chessel St will be opening for private prayer a couple of times a week, dependant on volunteers to open up, staff and clean afterwards. St Paul's will not be open for private prayer as it is currently being used for the BS3 Community Larder.
In accordance with guidance from the Government and Church of England we suspended all church services, groups, activities and meetings from March 2020 because of the coronavirus outbreak.
We continue to pray for our nation, our local community and our church family, especially the most vulnerable, those in need and key workers. For those in St Paul's who need assistance please use Nick or Jacqui as a point of contact.
We are holding live 'virtual services' on the St Pauls Facebook page at 10:30am every Sunday. These will now be broadcast by Nick from the vicarage and Jacqui and Rob from their home. Please contact St Pauls Church if you would like to be sent a service sheet each week.
St Paul's church is open between 8.00am and 11.30 Monday-Friday to receive donations for the BS3 Community Larder foodbank.
We strive to continue to share God's love with our community and neighbourhood during this difficult time.
