FAMILY

St Paul's is a lively, growing church on Coronation Road in Southville, overlooking the New Cut and historic harbourside in the heart of Bristol.

We aim to be a beacon of God’s love and a centre of worship and mission.

We believe worship is important and we try and be as creative as possible in our styles and approaches to praise and worship.

We believe God loves our community, and we do our best to share that love in all sorts of ways, from throwing great parties to telling people about the good news of Jesus.

St Paul's is seeking an enthusiastic and relational Christian to help grow our ministry with children, young people and families. This exciting role includes coordinating our toddler group and weekly youth drop-in, developing family-focused activities, supporting schools ministry, and helping build connections between families, church and the wider community.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a vibrant Christian faith and a heart for mission.

  • Can create welcoming spaces where people feel they belong.

St Paul's is located on one of the busiest walking routes into Bristol city centre and serves the vibrant BS3 community. Our facilities include dedicated children's and youth spaces, a large Crypt, newly upgraded AV facilities and enhanced hospitality spaces.

Salary: £28,000-£31,000 pro rata (depending on qualifications and experience)

An enhanced DBS check will be required. It is a Genuine Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 that the postholder is a practising Christian.

BS3 COMMUNITY FOODBANK

The BS3 Community Foodbank (formerly BS3 Community Larder) was set up in March 2020 as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Our mission is to support individuals and families within the BS3 postcode area, who are struggling financially. We supply emergency food parcels which contain three full days’ worth of food, as well as cleaning products and toiletries, as needed.

The foodbank, which runs on a referral-only basis, takes place at the church on Thursdays between 9.30am and 12pm. We also welcome donations at this time.

If you have a referral, please arrive between 10-11.30 AM for this to be processed.
