St Paul’s Church
St Paul's is a lively, growing church on Coronation Road in Southville, overlooking the New Cut and historic harbourside in the heart of Bristol.
We aim to be a beacon of God’s love and a centre of worship and mission.
We believe worship is important and we try and be as creative as possible in our styles and approaches to praise and worship.
We believe God loves our community, and we do our best to share that love in all sorts of ways, from throwing great parties to telling people about the good news of Jesus.
As a result of the pandemic, we recognise many people are anxious about the practicalities of food, medication etc, especially if required to self-isolate or with enforced social distancing.
As a church family and community we want to demonstrate sharing, caring and support for our neighbours, so as part of the 'BS3 Community Covid-19 - Mutual Aid' response we have set up the BS3 Community Larder foodbank to provide food for local vulnerable people. We urgently need donations to offer this support.
From 30th May 2021
We have resumed gathering at St Paul's Church for worship, but remain under socially distanced restrictions. Please wear a mask, sign in on arrival, use the hand sanitisers provided, and sit in one of the groups of chairs that suits the numbers in your household attending. We are not able to sing together, but will be expressing worship in creative ways, led by the worship team.
Sunday morning services will also be live streamed to the St Pauls Facebook page starting at 10:30am every Sunday.
In this socially distanced time we are looking at how we can facilitate prayer ministry for those who want it. Even when lockdown ends it's tricky to pray at the front of church with 2 metres separating us!
Elizabeth and the team are offering a "Zoom Prayer ministry service.
It will be available on the third Thursday of the month from 7.00 - 9.00 pm.
People wanting prayer should email this email address firstname.lastname@example.org to fix an appointment. Two members of the team will be available to pray with them.
The BS3 Community larder is continuing to run and St Paul's church is open between 9.30am and 12.30pm Monday and Thursday to receive donations for the BS3 Community Larder foodbank.
There's always lots going on at St Paul's Church, whether it's a new series of worship and teaching, small groups, activities for young people, socials and music, or volunteering to help the homeless or those in need in our community
